Teresa has been an angel sent from heaven for my mother. She took care of my mom, was very understanding of her feelings, and was compassionate towards her. She demonstrated caring tender love in every way any human being can. My mother truly loved her professionalism and dedication towards her care.

I was on a naval ship when my wife Karen was taken to the hospital with renal failure, a dislocated shoulder and lymphoma. Nurse Teresa consoled me about my wife's condition and set in motion the events via "Red Cross" message to get me off the ship and home on emergency leave. Later, my wife was once again in the same hospital with an acute urinary tract infection. Nurse Teresa and my wife recognized each other from her previous stay and I was finally able to meet the person I talked to from so far way. She did an outstanding job once again taking care of my wife and keeping me up to date on my wife's condition. Although all the nurses and staff at your hospital did an exemplary job taking care of my wife, Nurse Teresa's compassion and professionalism was above and beyond. She is truly deserving of this award.
