Kimberly went above and beyond her role as my firstborn's nurse during our time at the Regency. Not only was Kimberly incredibly knowledgeable with breastfeeding methods for new moms, but the supportive and encouraging learning environment she created when teaching these methods gave me the confidence that I could provide the nutrients my baby needs. I firmly believe that Kimberly's calming and encouraging nature is what helped me to produce over 50 ml of milk per pumping session on the 4th day after having my daughter.
Each time I saw Kimberly when I walked into the NICU during the night shift, I knew I could rest assured my daughter was in the best of hands. From a new mom's perspective, I was blessed to have someone, outside of family, with whom I could celebrate the little accomplishments in the NICU with (like passing glucose tests, my excitement when my milk came in, experimenting with more natural simulation methods - the SNS system.)
Kimberly was also incredibly welcoming to all family and friends who came to see my daughter. Without Kimberly, I am confident my stay at the Regency would not have been so stress-free.
I believe without a doubt that Kimberly perfectly embodies the qualities and characteristics of a DAISY Nurse by the way she facilitated a welcoming and supportive learning environment and mitigated potential stressors new mommies face when their baby has to go to the NICU.
