Barbara has proven to be a caring and extremely competent nurse. She has always greeted me with a smile. I have never seen her falter in her duties. She has received many orders from Dr. M concerning my care and never failed to follow through without hesitation. I know I will get an answer if I write an email or call as soon as Barbara has one. No matter how much I have pestered her she always tells me to contact her if I need anything.
I went through a scary situation when there was a lump in my breast. Barbara was very compassionate and supportive. She gave me confidence that everything would be done in a timely manner and I really felt like she was my cheerleader. When I went to tell her everything actually did turn out fine, I saw true joy and relief in her face. I then received a special Barbara happy hug. That is the supportive nurse Barbara is. She is never too busy, never too tired or in a rush to happily give 100%.
I had to have an EKG done due to a high pulse rate and other symptoms. Barbara is not only Dr. M's nurse, she is in charge of all the nurses in the clinic. She took the time to make sure my EKG was done properly as well as encouraging a new employee trying to learn a new machine. She showed patience and understanding to both of us. That is the kind of nurse she is. I have been blessed by this RN in more ways and more times than I can count.
Dr. M and the Marianna VA Clinic and I are all lucky and blessed to have her. My husband knows Barbara from when he comes to my appointments with me. He has nothing but great respect for her also and wishes she was his nurse. He has never said that about any nurse before. That is our Barbara! A one of a kind!
