Bola is a true professional. She is so dedicated to what she does and she treats everyone like a person. She found me crying in the solarium and asked if she could help. I explained that we didn't have any insurance and my husband needed two weeks of a very expensive medication. I didn't know what I was going to do as we were living now just by the help of friends and I didn't think I could ask more of them. We used to have a different life, great jobs, great pay, insurance, 401K, paid vacations, etc. We worked at the same company for over 15 years, but the owner of the company was sadly consumed by his own personal hardships and closed the company. Just like that, we had nothing. I explained this to Bola and told her it was nice to "vent" to someone. I told her I would figure something out because this was my husband and I had to take care of him. She put her hand on my shoulder and simply said, "We will figure it out".
Bola really put me at ease and I believed her. She really did take care of it. The medication was sent home with us. She is an incredible, caring person. She checked on us often and was there to personally tell us the medicine was approved so I wouldn't have to worry. I don't know how she does it. She, as any nurse does, has so much on her mind, so much going on but she still could make me feel like we mattered. She even made sure that a RN and a nursing student came and showed us how to inject the medicine and properly discard the needle. Bola lifted a tremendous burden from me and my husband and it meant more than I could ever say or explain. Bola changed my life that day.
