Gabriella helped me admit a patient who was of Nepali descent. Her family spoke minimal English. Gabriella took extra time to communicate with the family in order to complete the admission database. During her conversation with the patient's mother, Gabriella discovered that the family had very little supplies at home for the patient, such as a crib, playpen, etc. Gabriella knew of a friend who was looking to donate such supplies and helped to coordinate with the family and her friend in order to get the supplies to the family. This simple act of kindness had such a beneficial impact on my patient and her safety and was so appreciated by the patient's family. I'm so proud to work alongside such a compassionate and caring nurse.
