Chelsea was nominated by a patient that she cared for during child birth classes and then was her labor nurse. The patient was extremely nervous about the delivery process and Chelsea was able to calm her fears. Chelsea was scheduled a 12 hour shift and as the labor process did not progress so quickly, she asked her manager and charge nurse to work 16 hours so that she could be with the patient for the delivery. The baby was born healthy and the mom is forever grateful for Chelsea's compassion shown to her and the dedication to her profession.
