Cassie is a very deserving recipient of the DAISY Award based on the care and compassion she displayed each time over the past 15 days she was my nurse. Just upon first impression when I met her she was a consummate professional in her approach, organization, knowledge and listening she did as she assessed me initially. Throughout the multiple days she was my nurse, she was always positive, never complained, always compassionate to the situation of the moment.
I've had many nurses since being diagnosed in 2008 and Cassie stands out as one of the very best in that entire time. While being here for a long, complicated stay, Cassie always had some quick comment that made the day much better.
Cassie and many of her peers have made this stay much more bearable based on their skill, heartfelt commitment and compassion given.
