Tina Murry, ADN, RN, joined the Translational Research Unit (TRU) in June 2015, bringing over 10 years of pediatric nursing experience. In the past year, Tina has quickly acclimated to the research environment. She is a role model for her peers and has superb team work and critical thinking skills. Tina demonstrates incredible self-control which allows her to maintain a cool, calm and collected demeanor when stressful situations arise. Tina is an outstanding example for others and lives Children's values and guiding behaviors. She collaborates well by frequently stepping up on the unit to assist with other projects and takes initiative with developing new ideas and best practice. Tina is currently in school pursuing her BSN.
This past year, Tina has been nominated by families seven times for the DAISY award! The frequency of her nominations does not surprise her teammates as Tina is a natural when it comes to making her patients' and families' experience at Children's a positive one. She has excellent communication techniques and a demeanor that puts her patients at ease. Some quotes from the families Tina has served include:
