A 15-month old patient come into the ED at the end of Cheryl's shift. Cheryl graciously stayed to help out with the patient. While patient was not doing well, his mom was very upset and almost collapsed. Cheryl provided comfort and passion to the mom while we took care of her son. Cheryl promised to stay with the mom until lifeline arrived and never left her side. She kept them informed every step, everything we were doing and any changes. Cheryl went out of her way and above and beyond to provide comfort and compassion at an extremely difficult time for the family. Thank you Cheryl. You are an extraordinary nurse!
