During a recent cancer treatment, my wife's red and white blood cell count dropped to a dangerous level. Her doctor ordered the infusion of two units of whole blood delivered as soon as possible. We entered the infusion treatment area and met two outstanding nurses, Tami and Kayla. During the next five hours, we observed them deliver medical care with smiles, humor, and professionalism - literally jogging between patients! They worked well together and seldom took breaks. In between delivering care, they took time to interact with the patients on a personal level. These two nurses worked tirelessly to deliver top-notch care, over a long period of time, with smiles. We cannot thank them enough.
