My father was admitted into the Emergency Room at Bon Secours MRMC and stayed there for a day until he was moved into a room on the Progressive Care Unit. Within his second night there a nurse, Emily, came in as his nurse for the night and as I came in to visit him late that night he was in a much better mood. He told me his nurse was fantastic and had clearly lifted his spirits. Little did we know dad only had a few days left with us at this point. Throughout the several nights, Emily cared for my father her love and passion for people and her wisdom of her field of work and professional demeanor truly could not be hidden. It gave us and my father great comfort to know someone cared so much. We were blessed to have such an amazing person filled with such a big heart as part of his last few days. There is not a single doubt in my mind she made his life easier and better with the 36 hours she watched over him. We can't say thank you enough to her or the entire staff at MRMC. Thank you all and may God bless you all the way Emily did us with her comforting presence.
