Raymond Sison has consistently maintained his excellence in providing skilled nursing care to his patients. He has continuously demonstrated excellent critical thinking skills, sound judgement and decision-making skills, and the unique ability to make the necessary follow through. He is an excellent nurse, efficient and caring. I have received several letters of commendation from grateful patients and their families commenting on the exceptional nursing care they, or their loved ones received from Raymond.

One of the patients wrote: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Raymond for the outstanding medical attention he provided me during my long stay. At all times, Raymond was an excellent caregiver. He listened to me and helped me through many tough times by providing the best care he could. He took the time to talk to me and explain things to make me understand everything he did. My medications, my diet, my activities, my tests. Thank you, Raymond, for all that you did for me."

"Raymond was always cheerful and possess a great sense of humor which I so appreciated. He never once showed any negativity or frustration at me. I could hear his voice in the hall and Ray always brought joy to the entire work group. Great attitude, knowledge of his trade- compassion- wonderful sense of humor. His positive attitude and calm demeanor went a long way in making me comfortable. I believe he personifies what Kaiser is trying to project out to the community. It is obvious he chose the correct job because he enjoys what he is doing."

One of the daughters of an elderly patient wrote: "After only three days of visiting from Northern California, my 76 year old mother had fallen and underwent surgery. The surgeon's surgical ability and expertise goes without saying. However, it is the upbeat attitude and compassion of one nurse in particular, Raymond Sison, that is unsurpassed by any I have seen or experienced. Raymond found my brother and sister in the phone book and informed them of our mother's accident. He even notified his DA to make arrangements for one of us to stay by the bedside. Raymond always asked, "is there anything else I can do for you?" The daughter continued by saying "it was a phrase I don't often hear. He gets an A+ from me in Public Relations! What a comforting feeling to know that there is someone who truly cared. Thank you, Raymond, and God Bless!"

Another patient wrote: "This admission is my second time this year. Both times I have been an inpatient here @ Woodland Hills. I have received excellent care from compassionate personnel. Everyone made sure I was comfortable. One nurse stood out with excellence. His name is Raymond Sison. He not only took care of my medical needs but also took care of my emotional healing. This illness has been a long battle and he made me feel I mattered in this world and that he truly cared."

Another patient wrote: "Ray was very efficient and caring. He made sure I knew what was happening and that I was comfortable. He exudes calm confidence. The impression he gives is that everything will be O.K. and that everything will be done to return me back to health. He was very responsive to every request, no matter how numerous they were."

Raymond is loved by patients, physicians and peers alike. He has an excellent sense of humor that goes a long way and is so appreciated during tough and busy times on the floor. There was a letter written by a staff in the Recovery Room: "4 North was very busy and I was transferring a patient to the room by gurney. I thought I had to call the lift team but with Ray's presence, he made it look like it was a breeze. As soon as he spotted us coming, Ray immediately approached us and helped out. He got the bed ready and completely took care of the patient as though it was a patient assigned to him. He greeted the patient with a smile, introduced himself and reassured the family."

Raymond is caring, helpful, unselfish and kind. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. Most importantly, he is the ultimate professional!
