One of Jen's most significant contributions to the nursing profession is her dedication and focus on patient and family care. Jen developed the pediatric peritoneal dialysis program and is responsible for training families to do dialysis in the home. Jen has been in our life since my son was about 2 months old. She is one of the most genuine, caring nurses I have ever encountered. She taught me to do his dialysis at home and has never complained about the million phone calls I have given her when we have an issue. She has emotionally helped me hold it together when I didn't think I could and has never said, "I'm too busy," or acted like we were bothering her. I really do not know how I could have handled the last 5 months of my life without her.
