I am new to the city, just shy of two months, and I ended up in your hospital. I just had surgery on my spine C5 and C6 by a great doctor. I woke up to 3 beautiful nurses who were so very kind and showed such love and kindness to me. I may be a little tough cookie, but I'm a softie inside, and so needed to be shown that there are people in Arizona with big hearts that love people without a doubt. The first nurse, named Brandy was so sweet and took her time with me. I kept being a brat, and she would talk with such love and kindness in her voice. It broke me down from being a brat to show my true feelings---scared to death. Brandy held my hand, talked to me, made me smile, and bumped up my meds in the middle of the night. She stayed with me until I was ok, reminding me that she would be here for me if I needed anything else besides meds. She was there to talk to, cry with, or just laugh again. I think that Brandy is one of the most beautiful women/nurses I have ever met in my life, when I was sick and alone--just makes me praise her even more!
