This nomination was submitted by one of Cathy's grateful patients who took the time to recognize her professionalism, her skill and her unique interest in assisting him with healing and recovery.

He noted that she was personable and responsive in the "assistance she provided toward problem solving and during procedures".

The nomination also referenced how Cathy's personal interactions instilled the confidence he needed in the nurse/patient relationship. The patient was particularly impressed with Cathy's ability to handle his complex discharge package which allowed him to check out much more timely and required "the interplay between the physician, the security department, and the transportation staff".
