Allison did an exceptional and extraordinary job when a minor-aged patient passed away in the TMC Emergency Department. 75 family and friends gathered outside the ED to grieve, and Allison went beyond her normal duties to provide privacy and dignified care to the grieving family. She was supportive, compassionate, and put the needs and wishes of the family first by providing a private grieving area for the family with available chaplain services. She also provided sentimental care of the grandmother when she presented one of our comfort care blankets to her.
The family was very touched and appreciative of Allison's dedication to their feelings. She dedicated hours of her time to ensure dignified and respectful attention was provided to the entire group.
Allison was professional in her role and represented our organization in a way that makes me proud. Her organizational skills and her attention to small details, like providing a comfort food tray to the grandmother and aunt, was exceptional. Allison represented this organization in an exceptional way.
