As a preface, we tease saying that I am a "professional patient", having had several health issues in the last 50 years (14 surgical scores and have been treated inpatient in 7 hospitals across 3 states). That said I would like to compliment the overall care at Manatee Memorial Hospital and specifically Ingrid. The way she manages her team through example, participates at every level, and has an extremely effective leadership style. She is cheerful, skillful and attentive along with her infectious smile. I also noticed she stayed beyond her shift when a crisis occurred, to help the next shift nurse relax back into the daily routine.

She was kind and concerned care and pain level, etc. She went beyond what was necessary to help me cope with my diagnosis and organize records back to my home of Rochester, NY. She is very deserving of The DAISY Award for her hard work and dedication.
