Jill Furrow RN took care of an extremely anxious patient having surgery. This patient was in house and Jill went and visited the patient pre-operatively. Jill expressed compassion and the ability to comfort and reduce the anxiety of this surgical patient when explaining the procedure and what to expect post operatively by using appropriate health care literacy and professionalism. Jill's extraordinary nursing clinical skills extended beyond the OR and proceeded post opertively in the ICU and then on the floor, making an enormous difference in the patient outlook, she was very grateful. This positively impacted the patient's entire continuum of care and ended with a positive successful satisfied patient.
