Melissa was recognized by a co-worker as an example of "true patient advocacy done right." As someone so early in her career, advocating for her patient took an extraordinary amount of integrity and courage. By choosing to do what's right over doing what's easy, Melissa showed grace, compassion, and true patient-centered care.
