I was a patient in your hospital for three nights recently. When I arrived at the hospital, I was in extreme pain, major discomfort, and generally miserable shape. I had a groin hernia that ruptured. I was then introduced to a RN named Kristina Novak. I am not sure where to start because I was miserable and very crabby from the pain. Kristina started out by introducing herself and her helpers. With a big smile and bright sunny and positive disposition, she went about her job helping me to get comfortable. This young woman, in my opinion, went above and way beyond the call of duty to help me through my ordeal. She constantly came into my room to ask me if I was OK or if I needed anything. I know that is her job, but since I was in pain, I made sure to ask her not be late with my pain medications. She woke me every 4 hours on the dot with a quiet and compassionate "Hi Mr. H..." I have had 10 surgeries in my lifetime and I know the difference between GOOD care and GREAT care and Kristina provided GREAT care.

This letter is to nominate Kristina and recognize her for her outstanding performance. She consistently went out of her way to give me the utmost care anyone can give a person. I truly believe in my heart that Kristina's extremely professional and compassionate care, along with her bright sunny disposition and smile could take the misery out of scrooge himself. Even dealing with my misery at 3am, she continued to have a wonderful attitude. I believe Kristina is a huge asset to LCMH.
