I found Greta to be highly professional, caring and compassionate in all aspects of the care she provided to my father and the rest of my family. Even though she was busy with her first med pass of the day, she took the time to introduce herself and to make sure that he was comfortable and ensured that my mom had everything she needed. When I asked her questions, she gave me the answers quickly and efficiently. While transferring dad, she made sure he was safe by requesting assistance, she covered him to ensure dignity and then repeatedly asked him if he was ok. While administering his medications, both po and IV, she explained what each was for to my mom and dad using language which was easy for them to understand. While doing the dressing changes to his stumps, she maintained a clean field even while other staff were there to draw blood, etc. She explained her observations clearly and again using easy to understand wording. Though she was very busy that day, she was always smiling and good natured. That day, my father was in a great deal of pain. Greta continually assessed his pain and made sure that he was properly medicated. When she realized that his current pain (PRN) orders were not working, she immediately contacted the provider to get the order changed. Her actions that day while I was here were very impressive and proved to me that she is a credit to herself, this facility and to the nursing profession as a whole.
