I can tell Wendy cares about her patients and truly loves nursing. She is a rare combination of intelligence and heart. My dad's continuing recovery is, in no small part, thanks to her.
During the course of my dad's 10-day stay in the ICU, we felt Wendy put us first, whether she was continuously checking on his progress and well-being, administering treatments or coordinating communication between the doctors.
It was clear she was experienced and competent, she was always focused on each task at hand and did it with great care.
We appreciated that Wendy was always empathetic towards us. Every time she gave my dad a medication or performed a procedure, she made sure to communicate what she was doing.
I could tell she tried to be aware of how he was feeling and make him as comfortable as possible. Even the little things made a huge difference.
