Sue Klotz's compassion toward nursing excellence is contagious. Her drive and leadership skills have taken Clinical Practice Committee to a remarkable level. She reaches for nursing excellence daily and encourages others to follow. Sue never turns anyone away and goes out of her way to meet the needs of others. Her passion for nursing shows in everything that she does. Sue has the ability to listen, understand and guide other nurses in a direction of success. Sue gives encouragement and support that nurses need to succeed and then stands back and watches them fly. Sue goes above and beyond every day even into the night. She is a true role model for what nursing stands for at SMMH. Sue is a strong advocate not only for nursing practice but also for the individual nurse. her guidance, support and encouragement in the development of the Clinical Ladder Program has helped place SMMH on a pathway to nursing excellence and success.

Sue arranged and totally oversaw all aspects of the Nursing Week recognition and celebration. Every day there was something new and different to keep the nurses and hospital engaged. It was the best "Nurses Week" we ever had thanks to her passion for nurses - no one was left out of any activity and she made us feel proud and recognized as nurses. From T-shirts to paper nurses hats for a group photo - she made the week extra special.
