Denise is an amazing compassionate nurse. She had dedicated her career to patient care and she values this aspect of nursing above all others. Her tenderness shines through in every patient interaction, whether it be on the phone or in person. She clearly finds joy in providing comfort to others and it is not uncommon for patients to comment that their interaction with Denise is the highlight of their day. Denise is a model of work ethic and medical knowledge for all. She is often the first person in the department preparing for the day and the last to leave ensuring nothing is left undone. Her co-workers count on her to be their sounding board. They know they will receive a caring, constructive answer to any question, often sealed with a hug. Denise sets an extremely high standard of care for every patient and encourages all the staff to aspire to this level of service. She is the heart of the Dermatology Department and a model of compassion and respect for all.
