Becky has done an extraordinary job going above and beyond, helping to care for and manage a very behaviorally complex patient on 8W. She is so good with him that she was called at home to help calm him down during an escalation in his agitation. She goes above and beyond in caring for him and helping the entire team do a better job in managing this patient.
Becky not only developed a plan of care but also took on the arduous task of its implementation on a daily basis, which allowed the patient to interactwithhis environment and with staff in a much more productive and positive manner and reducing the serious episodes of escalation and its negative consequences.
Becky helped prevent an escalation in his agitation yesterday evening, but overall, she has helped the team learn strategies for managing his behavior effectively to prevent escalations in his agitation.
