"Becka" as she likes to be called is an outstanding OR nurse. During times of great challenges in the OR she has stepped up in the leadership role. She is quick to acclimate to running the OR board which can be very stressful. Becka keeps patient safety and quality of care her number one priority as well as setting hard limits to ensure patient safety is paramount. She makes tough decisions to assist the department to run as smooth as possible.

Becka also advocates for her co-workers by ensuring they get the needed breaks and she is always there to be that second pair of hands. She has consistently been observed setting her co-workers needs before her own. In a department with multiple vacancies and a busy surgery schedule, Becka's role models accountability, responsibility and true team work.
