Honesty - Jessica deals with all circumstances honestly. In her gentle way, I have seen her correct a patient's perception of the nursing care they felt was lacking. She was able to support her fellow staff members, and the patient and their family had to agree that Jessica was correct in her assessment of the situation. When she left the room, all parties were satisfied that the care rendered was actually quite good. And the great thing is, she does this all the time.

Excellence - Jessica is synonymous with excellence. She takes ultimate pride in her work and is humble in receiving the praise she deserves. To her, making PMC a great place is just part of her job. It matters not if you are a patient or a co-worker, the excellence of her caring shows through each time she enters the facility.

Accountability - She is always here on her scheduled days and can be seen her other days helping with tasks to keep the unit running smoothly. She has been known to speak of her responsibility to the staff and the hospital in whole. She is always the first to come to the aid of anyone needing help.

Respect - Jessica is respectful of her co-workers and the hospital. She is a customer service representative.

Teamwork - I have never heard the words "It's not my job" from Jessica. If it means meeting the needs of a patient, coworker, or the hospital, Jessica is always up to the task. She enjoys representing the hospital in a positive light and ensuring that all who come to PMC have a good experience.

Mary Johnson, Jessica's Nurse Manager writes:

Jessica often assumes responsibility without being asked and sets the standard for professional behavior.

Jessica also demonstrates Target 100 behavior, by remaining positive at all times with the staff and supervisors.

She is willing to self evaluate and work to improve the processes on PCU.

As a manager, the weekend shifts run as smoothly as the weekday shifts due to Jessica's consistent and competent leadership.
