Kat was my dad's nurse who, from the very start, demonstrated a bright, cherry, professional attitude. She immediately introduced herself and made my dad feel comfortable. With his broken English, he would call the nurse station and ask to speak to "Katty". She would always show up quickly, with a smile, to help him with whatever he needed. At the end of the shift, she would stop in to check on him and leave him assured that he was okay. Upon his discharge, she made sure to explain all of the results and procedures and even had them printed out in English and Spanish. After he was discharged he realized he had lost his wallet and contacted Kat for help. I sent Kat a message and she quickly responded. Kat demonstrated care and compassion. She went above and beyond to help out however she could. She is smart, knowledgeable, professional, caring, patient, compassionate and always had a smile and wink. She has a wonderful way of putting the patient at ease and is quick to explain what has been done, what is being done and will be done and why. My family and I are ever so grateful to Kat and are very fortunate to have had her as my dad's nurse.
