Our family member had a surgical procedure and Roxanne went beyond the call of dedication by working past closing time to be sure our family member was treated; without rushing, with respect and dignity.
Roxanne was supportive in all the last minute duties, including taking our family member for another round of X-rays, and before the patient was out the door, Roxanne retrieved a sandwich and juice for the patient to enjoy after not eating for many hours. She wheeled the patient to the pick-up zone to wait for a transport van. She waited a long time for our late van, not once complaining.
She created calm for us in the midst of confusion and stress. She is to be commended and recognized for her professionalism. As Jean Watson is quoted as saying, "Caring is the essence of nursing." Thank you!
From ASC Nursing Director:
Roxanne came to us with a background in Emergency nursing and helped to open the ASC in 2008. Her strong work ethics and willingness of spirit have allowed for great versatility in her role at the ASC. She has worked as a Peri-operative RN, Interim Clinical Nurse Manage, and is currently our Pre and Post-op Charge Nurse.
Roxanne strives for excellence in nursing care from herself and her team, so that every patient coming to the ASC has the very best that outpatient healthcare has to offer. Her compassionate care is constantly reflected in the sentiments that we receive back from our patients about their experience with the ASC. Words such as excellent', awesome', and outstanding' are linked to her nursing care.
