I'd like to give a nice shout-out to my night nurse Scott Denny, he is a wonderful nurse. What is very nice about his style of nursing is that the compassion is there and he is very good at explaining anything a patient needs to know. He truly knows so much about the medical field. It shows that he loves his job. I see a future nursing teacher if Scott ever wanted that. I feel safe he is my nurse tonight. Thank you!

There are 2 important qualities of a good nurse: 1. He/she is loved by his/her patients. 2. He/she is respected by his/her colleagues. It is hard to find someone that is both. Scott belongs to this rare breed. We all know how caring he is to his patients, how attentive he is to their needs. He will patiently talk to a demented patient and explain everything. If it takes 100 times he will do just that without losing his patience. He is a team player, he will walk all the way down to pod C from his post in pod A to answer a light without making a big deal of it. When Scott has his work under control, he goes around and asks everyone if they need any help. He will do anything from medicating a patient to change a dirty diaper on a patient that is not even his. All this without asking for much credit.

Scott loves being a nurse and it shows in so many ways. His enthusiasm for patient care is contagious, especially when it concerns our elder population. He is our most devoted NICHE GRN, rounding consistently and making sure he educates everyone on our frail, elderly patients and their needs.
Scott is the first to offer help with his peers, he is warm and welcoming to new staff, and his genuine smile greets everyone the first thing in the morning.
Scott tells us that he has learned everything he knows from his mother who is also a nurse. We're all grateful to Mrs. Denny, too for the great nurse she raised.
The 3rd floor team is lucky to have Scott Denny working with us!
