"I first thought I was in trouble when everyone walked in - I had no idea that I was being recognized with an award," said Brandon. "I'm so honored to be selected and proud to be a DAISY Award Honoree."

Brandon was nominated by a fellow nurse who said, "A patient came in for PICC placement, but there was no discharge plan for Home Health and the parent was becoming frustrated. Heather took the matters into her own hands and called the Home Health office, resolving the issue within two hours. Heather was the patient's advocate and helped resolve the situation."
