Deborah is an "unsung hero" as the flex nurse. Deborah comes to work every day with a cheerful attitude. She provides break relief for all the nurses, sets up rooms for patients, occasionally assumes care for discharges and admissions when there is a staffing crunch, and is clinically skilled "utility RN" on our unit. Deborah can do everything! I asked other ANM's to describe Deborah, and they offered, "Team Player", "Good Communicator", and "hands on in an emergency". Deborah always steps up to the plate. She is always one step ahead of my requests for assistance and is extremely generous with her time and talents. She is expected to "change roles" many times throughout her shift. She does all of this in a very stealthy and unassuming manner, never drawing attention to herself or making her accomplishments known. Deborah is an invaluable member of our team and makes our unit a better place.
