The morning of my surgery began with me driving my husband to the ER. Naturally there was much tension, worry and debating whether I should go ahead with my surgery. After recovery Anna introduced herself. Voicing concern for my husband she immediately let me speak to him in ICU and continued to reassure me. During the night my blood pressure dropped significantly and continued to stay very low but Anna stayed calm, engaging me in conversation and making me laugh. She also explained what was being done to rectify the situation.

Besides being my RN, I felt like she became my friend and really cared. Even though there are many years between us we connected on an emotional level which made her not just my nurse but a real, caring and loving human being.
