I wanted you to know that Tony is an awesome team member and truly lived out the Palmetto Health Experience for me and my family. Tony cared for my mother-in-law during her last hours of life. He was very compassionate to her and our entire family. He not only gave his AIDET at the beginning of his care, but he also continued to explain each time he completed a task with our mother. He had no idea that my wife and I were Palmetto Health team members. This was a very emotional time for the family and me so his actions were more appreciated than he could possibly know. We all knew these were her last hours, so the precious moments for the family to say goodbye while she was still able to communicate was important. Knowing the situation, Tony allowed my granddaughter an opportunity to tell one of the most valued people in her life goodbye. Moments like that are what creates memories that last a lifetime. I thought you should know about this jewel in your department.
