Helen Jackson, RN is an extraordinary nurse who volunteers to work in all areas of the hospital when she is needed. Her positive attitude and exceptional skills is why she won this DAISY Award. She was nominated by a patient's neighbor who experienced first hand what a caring nurse Helen is. Her letter commending Helen follows:

I took my neighbor to the Emergency Room since she was experiencing rectal bleeding. Helen was her nurse this night and was pleasant, professional and did all she could to make this patient comfortable and relaxed during this difficult situation.

After providing wonderful care during her stay, Helen went over, put her arm around the patient and spent much time reviewing the test results and explained everything thoroughly. My neighbor said Helen made her stay a pleasant experience. She is a very caring nurse and St. Anthony is lucky to have her.
