We are grateful for Jen's ability to make being at the hospital "FUN" for our 14-year-old son. Whether she was hiding in the laundry cupboard, soaking B with a water syringe, chasing him down the hall with a Nerf gun or painting his nasty chemo nails. Jen does what she needs to do to make it FUN! She has also provided exceptional care to B and we're so grateful to have had Jen be a part of B's journey.

Jen is a CTL on the hem/onc floor on the day shift. There is not a shift that goes by that I have not seen her go out of her way to do something special for a patient, family, or coworker. From princess crowns to Nerf gun fights. She always takes that extra moment to make sure everyone's needs are met and goes beyond that by taking extra time to let them know she is there. The compassion she shows every single day is truly amazing. From bad days to good days you would never know because she always walks in the door smile on her face and ready to take the day on. I have been witness to countless times that she has been at a patient's bedside and held someone's hand while they cry or hugging someone when they are having a good day. I can say without a doubt, Jen demonstrates Dayton Children's values to the highest end. Our hem/onc unit is so blessed to have her as a leader, mentor, and educator. Not only the coworkers but also our families and patients are so blessed to have her advocate for them.
