Here in the ER the tension and the stakes are high. It is nothing like the drama on television! The men and women that comprise our clinical team are wonderful and there are lots of nice things said throughout each day. I want to recognize Frank for his compassion and commitment.
At our discharge desk, we ask every patient "how were your services today?" Mostly it is a mixed bag of replies driven by many factors. Frank personally escorts each of his customers (patients) to the DC desk, is so warm, engaging, and funny that if you covered your eyes and just listened you would not know you were in an ER. Except for the fact that his discharge instructions are precise and clear as he wishes them well. His love for his customer is personal, it is genuine, it is anything but ordinary. It is not a job to Frank. You can tell it is his mission to ensure everyone is comfortable and well cared for and that he is exceptional by choice and has a God-given talent. Part of what makes Frank special is that he exhibits the same behavior to his co-workers. He is supportive, kind, and you can always find him going the extra mile. I choose to work here with Frank! Patients will choose to return when sick and ask specifically, "Is Frank is working today?" because folks feel comfortable with Frank. Our community is healthier daily because of him and he makes health care anything but scary. He is not a shortcut taker. I would trust him with the care of my family and myself. He is exceptional, extraordinary and well, he's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! He is a healthcare superhero. Thank you, Frank, for making the world better with your heart and your smile.
