Rhina provided exceptional care in a very difficult situation by going above and beyond to provide care for not only the patient but the entire family.
Rhina helped in the coordination of a very beautiful service and blessing in the chapel. Rhina cared for a very sick mother who went through a fetal loss at 33 weeks. As part of the grieving process, the patient wanted her baby to remain on the cuddle cot at the bedside. This in itself can be very challenging for a nurse who has never dealt with a situation like this. She never hesitated and helped this patient in every way she could. Rhina made sure the patient was as comfortable as she could be with the baby at the bedside.
I am so impressed with the caring heart Rhina showed with this patient and family in this very sad situation. As the OB RN who saw the patient multiple days in a row, I found relief in knowing the patient had a nurse that stepped outside her comfort zone to provide exceptional care.
