My husband was admitted on Monday for Bariatric Surgery (Sleeve Gastrectomy). From the minute we walked through the front doors, our entire family felt embraced. From the valet to the admitting clerk, to the nurses prepping my husband for surgery, to the CRNA and anesthesiologist, surgeons, and the wonderful nurses on the second floor along with the Patient Advocate; everyone was so friendly, willing to help, and answered all our questions and most importantly...with compassion. Not to mention, they all did these things with a smile! Thank you!
However, there is one special DAISY that stood out in the meadow at Bailey Medical Center-Leslie Stelzer, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager of the Bariatric Clinic. On Tuesday, this vibrant lady walked into my husband's room, smiling, full of energy and ready to answer any and every question my husband and his family had. Leslie was very knowledgeable, a wonderful listener and articulated the answers and information so that we were able to understand it very easily. She did not seem to be in a hurry to get out and move on to another patient/room. Our family truly appreciated her and the way she delivered all the information. So, all in all, when our family thinks of Bailey Medical Center, we think the following:
