Honestly, I have tears in my eyes as I am writing this story. I never thought that I would be a patient here, but it did happen from an emergency. I was so proud to say that I am an employee here at Methodist Dallas. Abilene took great care of me. She is one of the most compassionate and special nurses that has ever taken care of me when hospitalized. Abilene always had a warm friendly smile when she attended to me. She asked me repeatedly if there was anything else that I needed. She was never in a hurry. She was even having a student nurse shadowing her. She was so kind and patient with the student nurse.
Abilene was such a great joy and honor to have as a nurse. She is a great asset to Methodist Dallas. I truly hope that she will be recognized for her great care and love she shows to her patients.
Again, I was so proud to say that I am an employee here to know that there are true and compassionate nurses like Abilene that make patients truly feel cared for and are receiving the very best care they can receive.Abilene is a standout; amazing nurse and it would be great if needed to have her as a nurse again. You can tell she really loves being a nurse.
