I was struggling terribly to breastfeed my newborn, she was crying and fussing, just not latching on. The other nurses had all tried to help me but to no avail. However, Elaina came in and saved the day, she was able to help me get my baby to successfully latch on and nurse in what seemed like less than a minute. My baby nursed so well for about 30 minutes, which helped in raising my baby's blood sugar to a safe level. The baby's blood sugar had dropped earlier and it was so important to get the baby to latch now. This is just one of the ways that she assisted me.
