Jasmine displayed genuine passion as a nurse and is just a great, kind, loving person.
She provided us with literature along with charts on how to count and keep track of what my mom ate so we can better monitor her diabetes.
She provided medication to my mom with a smile and always willing to thoroughly explain what the medication was being administered for. Even though most times we didn't understand a lot of the medication terminology, Jasmine was always more than happy to explain it over again with love and patience.
My mom was on 3 types of antibiotics for an infection in her eye. Her (eye) was almost closed shut and she had a boil on her eye that was as big as a marble. Jasmine took great care to properly care for my mom's incision to ensure that the area was sterile and to prevent further infection. Jasmine always checked back in with my mom to assure we/she was ok and feeling well and if we had any questions. I've never seen any nurse be so attentive to the patient and family.
Jasmine is an extremely professional and caring person. On her off day, she called here in our room to see how my mom was doing. In this day and time, most people treat the elderly very unkind. My mom is 86 years old and she made her feel special. Her passion for nursing and the love of people was demonstrated every day. I feel Jasmine Shannon is someone that everyone should know.
