Amanda was the nurse in ICU 4th floor, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO and was in charge of my Mom's care when she suffered from a brain bleed. I can't say enough positive things about how well Amanda handled the whole situation. We have a very large, close-knit family and of course, we all loved Mom and had to be by her side at all times. We, at first, observed the hospital rules about only having a couple family members in the room at a time. When the doctors had little hope for Mom's recovery, Amanda saw how badly we all wanted to be with Mom, and allowed all of us to be with her until her last breath of life. Amanda kept us posted on what was happening with Mom, step by step and did everything she could to keep her comfortable until she passed.

During the hours we spent at the hospital, Amanda even made sure we had food & drink and set up a special room just for our family. In the times we've spent with our mother in any hospital, we have NEVER had this type of compassion or customer service extended to us. And, at the same time, Amanda was so professional, even with a room full of emotional people falling apart before her eyes.

Clearly, Amanda is a special person, and our whole family had nothing but positive feedback on her job performance in the time Mom spent there. Even though we lost our Mom, we still found comfort in the care she received. If it had been different, we could not have bared the loss.
