My daughter has been going to CHM since 1982; she is now 30. She has had 194 shunt revisions and has been in and out of the hospital the majority of her life. In all the times coming here, we have NEVER experienced the type of care she received while in the care of Simon. He is a rare commodity and he takes nursing to a new level. He not only does his job with efficiency but he is the whole package. He is a GREAT listener, shows a great amount of compassion, which makes the patient and family feel complete comfort. When he walks into the room you feel love and warmth. He is the complete package of what every nurse should be. I truly wish there was a way to clone this man so that my daughter as well as all the children here at DMC Children's Hospital could continuously get the same type of care she received when Simon was assigned to her.

I understand and know that nursing is a very hard job but Simon's attitude and actions tell me that he is a fantastic fit for this line of work. I told him to hug his Mother for me and my daughter because she raised an amazing person. Children's is very lucky to have Simon on your team.
