Rachel Cobler was nominated for the DAISY Award by her former patient's family members. The nominations read,
"Zach was having an extremely stressful day of anxiety, delusion and sleep deprivation after 10 days on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma. He was combative and extremely upset, but within 10 minutes of Rachel coming on duty, she had him calmed down. She just has to talk to Zachary and gently rub his arm and he's a different person. I nicknamed Rachel The Zach Whisperer!'"
"My brother Zach was extremely agitated/combative the night he was extubated and woken up from his medically induced coma. Rachel did such a fantastic job keeping him calm and relaxed as did everyone who cared for him but I feel she has an exceptional personality not only with her patients but also with the families of her patients! She is a fantastic nurse and a lovely human being."
