During my mother's hospitalization, Petina was training a new nurse; her teaching was spot on without being demeaning and very patient with the new nurse, answering questions etc. before moving on. Her skills far exceed her title and her knowledge is broad, if she doesn't know the answer she will find it.

Day after day we watched her as she gave 125% always with a smile hustling up and down that hallway. She always knows what to say to get Mom to smile/laugh or get her spirits up. She has the kind of personality you just wish you could bottle up and give to everyone in the world and make it contagious.

As a retired nurse, I am recommending this DAISY Award for Petina simply as she goes above and beyond for the patients without time waste nor rush, just gentle care, smiles, laughs, and a genuine love.
