Kjhonsie's presence is felt by patients, their families and her co-workers. When she passes medications, she demonstrates patience, warmth and caring attitude. Most of our patients refuse or delay the intake of medications. But Kjhonsie has innate qualities of motivating patients to adhere with their treatment plans. Patients feel safe with Kjhonsie knowing that she is their advocate. She provides medication education, helps patients understand the indications, effects, and side effects of their medications. And she communicates to the Treatment Team the need of patients to better understand their medications and to increase adherence thereto.

Kjhonsie continuously strives to maintain a therapeutic environment. When she is a floor nurse, she makes everybody feel safe including her co-workers. She recognizes patients who are exhibiting signs of agitation, restlessness, depression and proactively deals with these behaviors. She uses her nursing skills in helping patients communicate their needs without any delays; in redirecting their behaviors and making them feel that they are safe. There were instances that code Green was prevented because of Kjhonsie's early recognition of patient's needs and behavior. Thus, early interventions were implemented. During visitation time, Kjhonsie provides assistance to patients' families/friends to make their visits comfortable and safe. She demonstrates good rapport not only to patients but their families as well.

A work attitude of Kjhonsie that is conspicuously remarkable is her ability to provide holistic care to our patients. Aside from maintaining therapeutic communication, maintaining safe and therapeutic milieu, she places emphasis on patient's hygiene as part of patients' recovery. She empowers patients to keep up their personal hygiene. She motivates, assists, and educates patients to keep themselves and their environment clean, hygienic and safe. For patients who are gravely disabled, she goes the extra mile of assisting these patients to shower and putting on clean clothes. For those who are incontinent, she makes sure that their protective undergarments are clean and dry. She is the kind of nurse who is always helping patients maintain cleanliness and hygiene. If the patient is unable to do it for themselves, she does it for them.
