...Teresa is a highly respected clinical expert with a keen sense of personal awareness. She has the centeredness from the REACH program and encourages staff to develop. She has an intuitive awareness of patient's needs and ability to timely present to patients and families. Her love of patients and families is apparent daily and it positively impacts unit culture. She has a relaxed and ready smile all day and the presence to stop and truly listen with compassion and joy.

Teresa expressed her passion and commitment to her profession in a past evaluation. She wrote

"To compassionately care for patients is part of my daily routine and is a part of my commitment to being a nurse. Each patient has their own unique needs; I respect those needs by adjusting my plan of nursing care for the special needs.

On a daily basis I try to treat people fairly and equally. Whether other nurses, a CNA or physician, to me we are all working to strive for the same things and that is to care for our patients the best we can.

With financial down turn in the past years I have seen how it has affected people's lives. I've seen people in need and tried to make sure those families have the resources to adjust in their big life change. I want to make sure that the baby too has a good start. Making sure they have appropriate follow-ups with their doctors or finding one for them if they don't have one.

I strive for excellence in all areas by working to improve my personal nursing skills to better care for my families. Education is one of the many ways I strive to better my skill."
