After three incidents with hospital care that left a family member with a bad perception of the hospital, this same family member and now patient wrote in July of this year a very different interact and experience that he had at Virtua Memorial. "A nurse named Lindsay went out of her way to give extra care." This experience truly turned this person's perception of care at our hospital around, resulting in him stating "I would recommend this hospital to anyone."

One of our nursing leadership staff was also privileged to have had a family member cared for by Lindsay. "Pops" was admitted to 2N after having a suspected MI. He couldn't stop raving about how kind and compassionate his nurse Lindsay was. Since the family thinks the world of Pops and knowing how well she cared for him made the family feel so much better and less stressed about what was going on with him.

Lindsay, your care and compassion not only touches the patients that you care for, but truly extends to "mentally" caring for the families as well. It is such a great feeling to know that many of your patients (over 7!) have nominated you for this award and wish to celebrate you and all that you do!
