Rachel is special because when we brought our daughter in a couple of months ago she was sensitive to not only our daughter's needs but ours as well. She always listened and acted to help her get better. She made us all feel like we mattered and were special. Now we are back again!! She remembered us from last June. We are so thankful that she was still here. That means she is special and a great nurse. If we had a choice we wish we could have her as our nurse during our whole stay.

It's all in the family. Our son was brought in to the ER with a possible appendicitis. Sure enough with a CAT scan confirming it he was taken to Peds to await surgery. Rachel reassured a nervous teenage boy who had never been put under that everything would be fine. As it turned into a longer wait than it should have been, she did a great job keeping us informed. She laid out the goals he needed to meet before he could be discharged on Christmas Eve. The strong willed boy was up and rolling down the halls of Peds and following all of the nurse's orders. She wanted to help him get released just as much as he wanted to. She told him it is a team effort. Finally less than 24 hours of coming into the ER we were leaving to have Christmas Eve! Thanks for a fantastic Christmas gift; the joy of our child. Rachel is so positive and happy and always have a smile on her face. She radiates with love and kindness.
